Sometimes, a good breakfast in bed or a home-cooked meal can really lift the spirits! Or perhaps you want to try medicine, or laughter, or something else? 07) PET Suddenly, you have another addition to the family! Is it a puppy? A kitty? Whatever it is, make sure to give it a name and to take good care of it! 08) HOLIDAY Happy birthday/New Years/Christmas/Valentine's Day/whatever! It's a very special day that only comes once a year, so make it count! 09) ARGUMENT Oh, no, who left the stove on... Or maybe it's about why they were out late last night? Either way, there is a lot of tension today, and one of you may or may not be sleeping on the couch tonight. 10) WILCARD, BITCHES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN.

[ Sully's never been too bad a cook. There's a limit to what he can do, sure, but he's not completely incompetent (which always seems to shock people, much to his chagrin).

The late morning finds him in Hallah's kitchen, puttering about in an attempt to put together what he's calling a 'large lunch.' ("Like a smorgasbord," he had said cheerfully, while lugging the groceries in, "But not as much stuff, yeah?")

The only noise that comes from the kitchen now is the steady thunk thunk thunk of the knife as he goes about chopping up various odds and ends (for soup, salad, or sandwich, who knows). ]

[ There's a half wall that separates the kitchen from the living room and allows some of the light from the balcony to filter in through the curtains and reach parts of the counter. Never really fond of sitting down at a table and eating, Hallah's got a pair of stools that are pulled up to it, counter-style, and it's from the perch of one of these that she watches Sully speculatively. Her brow, lowered down over her eyes and pinched just faintly in the middle, puckers every time he embarks on cutting up something new, like she's afraid he'll miss any moment and cut one of his goddamn fingers off without much ado.

Together they sit in a long, prolonged silence before Hallah eventually says: ] Why today?

[ Maybe there's an occasion, though if he'd mentioned it to him, she would have remembered it. Her memory is near eidetic, though none of the other inhabitants here know that. ]

[ She is, by no means, domestic and never has been. Before life under Circe, back when she was still with Aidan, it was a wonder how either of them ever managed to eat, though Phillipa — on occasion — would attempt something in the kitchen (always to her eventual chagrin).

Instead of trying and failing, she heads to the corner shop and buys a tupperwear of pre-made soup with Phillipa heats in the microwave before dumping it into a bowl in an attempt to pass it off as her own. David doesn't ask her to come visit, and perhaps she's being rude by imposing herself onto her doorstep, but there is an adage that chicken soul is good for the soul (a hyperbole at best, she notes). Phillipa would very much like for David to be better, if the ragged cough she'd heard rattle through him the night before on the roof was any indication of his declining health.

She knocks once, pauses (an ear pressed to the door) and then knocks again, her meager offering balanced carefully with one hand. ]
